I find the book's approach very good. I did not miss anything. The vendor dependent implementations of mv are not really discussed, but| ||Ashish Gupta and Inderpal Singh Mumick have brought together an excellent collection of articles covering the most important issues related to the selection, use, and maintenance of materialized views.
